We know insurance, and we get to know you
Your circumstances and your requirements can have an effect on the prices you pay for insurance products. By talking with you — in one of our high street branches or over the phone — we can understand the specifics of your insurance needs and match them with the insurer that’s best placed to provide that cover, at the right price. Personal, tailored, great value cover.
Taking the hassle out of insurance
You don’t need to lift a finger. With a panel of more than 40 top insurers, our experienced team finds the cover that’s truly tailored to your personal requirements. Leave the legwork to us. Simple, convenient and efficient.
The personal approach
Buying insurance has become an impersonal experience. Call centre handlers are on a schedule, so can’t build up a relationship with you. Comparison websites expect you to do all the work and you can’t always be completely sure that the cover meets your specific needs.
If you have a home, vehicle or other item that is out of the ordinary it can be very hard to be sure you’ve bought the right product for your requirements.
A-Plan is different. we’ve been providing a personalised service to over 600,000 clients since the 1960s. We have over 80 high street branches, no telephone scripts or automated call management systems, no complicated online forms to fill in and definitely no jargon filled pages of website to trawl through.
We are proud that the majority of our clients renew with us year after year and so many new clients come to us from the recommendation of our existing ones.
Tell us about your niche
With more than 50 insurance products available, we provide so much more than normal insurance companies and brokers. From home insurance to horse-box; commercial cover to kit cars. We have access to a range of mainstream and niche insurers, who offer the full breadth of policies to cover your every specialist requirement. Flexible. Bespoke. Personal.
Impartial, independent experts
From home insurance to horse-box; commercial cover to kit cars. Our advisors don’t earn commission. Their independence ensures they are focused on you. Understand your individual needs and finding the perfect cover for you is their number one priority. Delivered with a friendly, approachable and truly personal touch. Dependable. Experienced. Dedicated.

Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement
This statement is made pursuant to S54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps the Company has taken during the financial year 1st March 2018 to 28th February 2019 to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
We have reported to HM Government the data required by them for firms employing more than 250 people.
The pay gap the data demonstrates is caused by the fact that there are more males than females in management and senior leadership positions (that attract higher pay) across the business; a fact and challenge seen across nearly all financial service firms and business as a whole. The pay gap is not caused by unequal pay for men and women in the same roles and with similar experience.
The gender pay gap is a situation that we, and society as a whole, are anxious to address as for us it is critical to the ongoing success and future of our business.
Based on the average hourly rates of pay at 5th April 2018, the mean gender pay gap was 23% (2017: 24%), and the median (mid point) pay gap was 12% (2017: 12%).
The data at 5th April 2018 for bonuses shows that the mean bonus gap was 45% (2017: 56%), and the median bonus gap was 61% (2017: 60%). 13% (2017: 16%) of males receive a bonus, and 9% (2017:3%) of females.
Across the pay quartiles, in the lowest quartile (quartile 1), 54% (2017: 55%) are female and 46% (2017:45%) are male. In the second quartile, 52% (2017: 51%) are male and 48% (2017:49%) are female, in the third quartile, 56% (2017: 60%) are male and 44% (2017 :40%) are female, and in the top quartile, 76% (2017: 73%) are male and 24% (2017: 27%) are female.
We are committed to developing the best talent across the company, as well as being inclusive for all employees, and have implemented a number of initiatives to encourage a better gender balance within the business.
We really value feedback from our clients. We invite our clients to leave us with reviews so that we can make sure we deliver on the high standards we set for ourselves. This also ensures that our clients are satisfied with the service we provide.

Mr Scott, High Wycombe, 25.06.2018
I have dealt with Aplan High Wycombe Private Clients for many years & they are exceptional in all respects. Tom Howland could not have been any more helpful or professional this morning when quoting/setting up my Wife's car insurance policy - ensuring we had the optional extras which matched our needs, without hard-selling others we did not require.
Mr Turner, Sutton Coldfield, 01.06.2018
It is very reassuring to have expert help over the phone when trying to unravel the complexities of insurance policies. Staff are very helpful and understanding and they follow through with what they say they will do for you. Much better than dealing with online companies.
Mr McCloy, St. Albans, 01.06.2018
Courteous, friendly, professional, patient and very effective in finding the best solution for me. Happy to recommend at any time.
Mrs Morley, Banbury, 01.06.2018
Polite helpful people at the end of the phone. They always return my calls and they kept me posted when my daughter was involved in an accident step by step with how the claim was going as well as ringing to find out if we were doing ok. Very thoughtful.
Mrs Wright, Swindon, 03.05.2018
Extremely professional efficient but friendly service. Listened to what I needed and understood how to help them actioned it. Brilliant.
Mr Millward, Welwyn, 28.03.2018
I always find it very difficult every year to re-evaluate our insurance for our possessions, things go up in price, and we purchase new things every year. However, the process A-Plan took me through was seamless, and it filled me with confidence that I had the correct cover and value.
